Scoutmaster Training

Scoutmaster Training

Scoutmaster Specific Training will be offered at the Camporee on April 2 at 1:30.  This is required training for all Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters.  Take advantage of this opportunity to get trained while you are already camping!

Cub Leader Training

Cub Leader Training

Cub Leader Position Specific Training is for any cub leader new to scouting, or any leader who has taken a new position within the pack, or for any seasoned leader who wants more information on the new cubscout program.  Training will be provided for all den leaders, assistant den leaders, cubmasters, assistant cubmasters, and committee members. 

Face to Face Youth Protection Training will be included.

When you leave training you will be a leader and will be awarded your "Trained" patch!

BALOO and IOLS Training

BALOO and IOLS Training

BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation.  It is a Cub Scout level training required for Packs to go on Pack family campouts.  Each unit must have at least one person with BALOO training in attendance at campouts.  It is recommended that Packs have several trained leaders.

Youth Protection Training UPDATE!

It is official, the current 2018 Online Youth Protection Training meets state requirements and has been approved by the State of Texas.

If you have completed the new BSA online Youth Protection Training course on or after March 13, 2018, you no longer need to take a classroom-facilitated version of the course to attend a licensed camp (camps of four or more days).

If you have not taken the new BSA online Youth Protection Training course, you must do so by October 1, 2018 or you won’t be able to re-charter with your unit.

Roundtable

Roundtable is a time for unit leaders to get additional training, share ideas, and build relationships with other units.  Learn about current topics in scouting, get program ideas, and find out what is happening in the Distrtict.
